But at every stage of your operation, build-up and chokes can shut you down. The PowerShot® keeps you up and running by doing the job at every stage of your kiln system. Pre-Heater Towers The PowerShot® is effective on every level of your pre-heater tower - from removing build-up from the feed shelf and riser section to clearing chokes out of your feed pipes and cyclones. PowerShot® base sockets can be welded wherever you experience buildup or chokes, so you can keep the feed flowing into your kiln Clearing chokes with the PowerShot® requires minimal shutdown time. More importantly, safety is dramatically enhanced because the PowerShot® works without forcing you to open doors on your tower or poke holes in unstable material - work which can create big safety risks. With the PowerShot®, you can unplug your tower without worrying about red-hot feed flowing out of open holes and doors. Rotary Kilns Clearing rings and large coatings can keep you shut down for hours - even days - on end. Using the PowerShot®, you can avoid the long cool-down periods required to allow men and equipment to work inside the kiln. By installing PowerShot® base sockets on the kiln shell where rings occur most, you can blast away large amounts of buildup, forming a key section. The rings then lose their stability and peel away, leaving a clean kiln and the brick intact. All that's left is to turn on the kiln and feed out the loose material - without the need for extra equipment. Compared to removing rings the old-fashioned way, the PowerShot® takes little time to get the job done. Typically, in six to eight hours - at times even less - the PowerShot® can remove rings from a 20-30 foot area - without your ever having to send men into the kiln. After that, you light the flame, get your kiln back up to temperature and get back on line. Coolers Snowmen and kiln balls. When they make it to the clinker breaker, you've got big trouble. You're shut down, and forced to start jackhammering or firing away with the shotgun. With the PowerShot®, you can take care of kiln balls in as little as 45 minutes - blasting them into pieces as small as your hard hat. As for the snowman growing up the back corner of the cooler - one or two quick blasts and it's reduced to normal clinker, easily feeding through the cooler. Bulk Storage Silos Whether you're storing raw materials or finished product, blockages in your storage facilities can keep you from getting what you need, when you need it.
